Finally finished one of the WIPs voted for. I've recorded a fare bit of me working on this so I might use that footage for a video.
I couldn't decide what to do with the background so I ended up using some fractle pieces and it seems to have worked out.
Kali is a Hindu Goddess and I highly suggest researching her it is very interesting.

Why I started work on this piece in the first play before it became a WIP to be completed. I heard of Kali in my childhood. My dad's side of the faimly always had art dipicting different Mythologies in their home in Wales. I took an interest in learning more and it helped fuel my interest in learning about different cultures, their beliefs and stories. To this day I still like to go an research different Legends etc. When I first started this piece I wanted to draw a powerful, beautiful woman and my thoughts landed on the Goddess Kali. So researched again to refresh my memory and looked at many images of her before beginning work and as I continued it. I would like to draw her again some time showing how her appearance can differ or a different aspect of her mythology but for now I am happy that I finally finished this piece. It reminds my of my childhood and my passions towards learning ancient stories.
