I'm studying in lasalle, school for animation, and I received an email saying that I can participate in a comic cover/gif animation. I thought "huh, looks fun, but I got a lot of work to do so another time.". About more than a month later, I received an angry email from a teacher, saying that "as a student from lasalle, you must participate in every optional thing and stuff". Well goddamn, time to look at the requirements and stuff. So apparently, I had to either make a small animation or comic cover, based on either one of the 6 excerpts from random books they've found. First one was something about a phoenix (everyone chose that and painted a rainbow phoenix thing), then an excerpt from dust of Eden, then some stupid epic funny joke lols about a spy alpaca, and I forgot the rest. It was all bad.
Anyways, about the actual drawing, it's very much inspired by Hajime Ueda. It's almost impossible to find any information about that dude, and it makes me so mad. Also I planned on making it very sketchy and messy based on the monogatari drawings he made, but my mom scolded me because literally all my drawings are messy and sketchy. It's still not that clean but I did try my best in cleaning it up.
