This is not at all garbage! Having that flat background makes the two pop! Its a mix of cartoon and almost realistic, it's unique and fantastic! You can always improve but don't give up on this style if you like it! I certainly would say its 'good good'

im probably gonna go over and try it again with a different painting style thats more cartoony
