So back when I posted my Oliver aka Unstoppable drawing

in his Bio, I mentioned who his family was. Mentioning his mother, and so I decided to make a drawing of Oliver's mom and talk abit about her and where she kinda fits into this universe. 

So say hello to, "Carry Thomson"

Occupation: News Reporter, working for "Glorious News" GN for short (its a WIP)

(Backstory)

Carry grew up in a small town called "Bright Field". When she got into high school, she joined the news club and soon became fascinated with news reporting along with photographing. She even made some SMASH-HITs for her home town's news paper (stories such as "Old man Hank's fattest pig" Or "Ms. Jankins having 1000 cats living in her house and soon kicked her out of the house" or "Are there ALIENS coming for us? or is someone just not know how to mow the lawn", ect.)

After graduating high school, Carry received an invitation to come work for "Glorious News" that was located in Glorious City. This was too good of an opportunity for Carry to turn down and even her parents knew it, so she pack up her things, got a flight to Glorious City, and she was already given the job.

As she began her job at Glorious News, some of the stories that she reported were pretty simple stuff (such as "The mayor's wife had twins", "Children hospital got their funding goal", "local man sets a record for shoving a whole watermelon up his nose", ect.)

and just typical stuff... that is until she started making headlines about Overlord. 

Carry actually encountered Overlord on her first day in Glorious City, where she nearly got crushed by a car until Overlord flew in and saved the day.

After that first encounter, Carry became fascinated in Overlord and began making headlines about him... ALOT of headlines 

such as "Overlord saves Glorious City from Dr. Microwaves heatbeam!" or "Overlord, Help a mother duck and 50 of her ducklings cross the street" or "Dex Cooper is arrested once again, thanks to Overlord" and the top headline "WHO IS OVERLORD?"

These headlines were getting Glorious News pretty popular and then Carry became the TOP reporter, not only doing news paper work but also televised news work. 

After a few years of reporting and stuff, Carry soon began to get a lil bit close to Overlord having a bit of a crush on him, due to him saving her whenever she gets in trouble. 

She soon began to get some one on one with him both ON and OFF the record if ya know what I mean. 

They secretly went on a few dates, hooked up a few times, and soon... Carry found out that she was pregnant and it was Overlord's kid.

After 9 months, she had her son and named him "Oliver" (aka Unstoppable)

Despite her having Oliver, she and Overlord never tied the knot, she was a single-ish mother taking care of her son most of the time. Overlord and the league would come to visit Oliver whenever they could when he was lil (they would also visit Oliver on his birthday along with Christmas) 

But most of the time, it was always Carry taking care of him, dealing with the struggles of raising a child alone, however she loved her son and would do anything to keep him save... that is until he began to get his powers.

Once Oliver started getting his powers, Overlord began to get abit more involved in his life and having him as a Hero-in-training, against Carry's wishes to keep him out of the hero business. 

But Overlord managed to convince her to let Oliver be a hero-in-training since he told her it would be like riding a bike with training wheels (learning how to ride the bike, but not getting hurt) however Oliver would get hurt a few times which worried the hell out of Carry.

Carry would get worried about Oliver ALOT whenever he came home from superheroing, but even tho she worries about him and wants him desperately to quit the whole super hero business, she dose see all the good things that he's done and keeps doing for the city. 

So pretty much all she can do is just be there for him during his darkest times and when times are just tough for him.

After a while, she stopped worrying about him since she knew that nothing would stop him.

(The End of backstory)

(Carry's part in the Suicide Squad story)

In the story of "Suicide Squad kill the league of Infamous" Carry is pretty much one of the few remaining humans alive in Glorious during the invasion, Oliver hid her in the Glorious News tower for safety before heading out to try to stop the league... But Oliver didn't come back for her. so she just stayed there and wait.

(she dose hack into all the screens in the city to send messages to whatever humans that are alive similar to Lois Lane from the Suicide Squad game) 

The Suicide Squad actually encounter Carry, after Viking Queen kicked their butts and threw a building on top of them. 

Due to Zomben's durability, he was able to get him and the squad out from under the building by digging his way out, he then ended up by digging their way into the bottom floor of the Glorious New tower.

At first, the squad thought the building was just empty with no form of life whatsoever, until they heard a voice coming from the speakings. The voice was of course from Carry, instructing the squad to come up to the top floor of the tower so they can talk. 

She asks them who are they and what were they doing there. When the squad explains that they're trying to stop the invasion and even killed Roller Blader. 

After first Carry was a bit frightened about the squad killing one of the league members, but she tries to look pass that and asked them to do something for her. Which was if they see any remaining humans out on the street, to rescue them and sent them to the Glorious New Tower where it is safe. If they did what she asked, then she would reward them. (after first the squad helps her out with some humans just so they can get rewarded. But after that, rescuing humans in the city is just an optional thing)

Later on in the story, after what happens to Viking Queen and Oliver aka Unstoppable escaping Callisto's ship and joining the squad, she finds out about this, and so decides to help Oliver and the squad out with some side-mission stuff (helping them out, like telling them locations, or giving them situations of what their dealing with, ect)

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo yeah, thats all the info stuff that I got for Carry right now. I tried my best on her story, but I do hope you all enjoyed it.

As for the drawing, it was abit complicated on working on the drawing.

At first, I was originally gonna make a drawing with 4 characters in it, which were to be Carry, Oliver just in normal clothes, and 2 other hero characters who were kinda in the league but are not anymore who were named "Lady Chicken" and "MoonMan"

But at the end, I just decided to do a separate drawing of Carry.

For her design was also abit tricky for me since, when I was drawing her I decided to make her design look abit like a mix between Lois Lane and Vikie Vale from the animated show "My Adventures with Superman" 

while also making some different stuff here and there, like give her a camera, along with a tape recorder when reporting and stuff. 

On the side, I also decided do draw a few different faces of Carry to show that shes got some character to her.

(the kinda complicated part to the drawing was working on the camera strap as I decided to add in lil Overlord and Unstoppable logos on it. Kinda like how Mary Janes camera strap has lil spidermen on it) 

Other than that, I think this drawing turned out pretty good.
