You really made me feel this picture.
He didn't cry when it happened. Didn't weep when she uttered his name for the last time. Didn't lament as he's covering her with dirt.
It was hard work, putting her in the ground. It took forever too-- every fibre of his being seemed to weigh a ton. But now it's done, and there was nothing else to do.
The sun crept lower in the sky washing everything in shades of amber and gold. There was music in the silence and it seemed, for a moment, that the world hadn't ended.
His heart felt like it's pumping lead. It was the perfect sunset and she wasn't here to witness. And then the tears came-- it wasn't fair! Because somehow, he felt her love today more than ever.
