Here are some ideas for King Salmonids I did for fun.

The big, fat one is called a Beachblaster, and the stage will go into low-tide mode when it appears. It will target one of the players and charge at them in a straight line, much like the Reefslider. During the charge, the bump on its head swells to an enormous size, and if you throw some Golden Eggs at it, the Beachblaster will be stunned for a few seconds. This should be the perfect time for you and your team to do some real damage to it. I’m very proud of how this one turned out, but I feel like changing the snout and the bump to make them look more like an elephant seal’s nose. Maybe in the near future.

The one with the three heads is called a Slime-Dra, and the stage will go into high-tide mode when it appears. I’m still thinking about how it’ll work in the game. One idea is for all the heads to pop in and out of the water, each time firing a couple of normal-sized Superchumps (or Superchums in this case) onto the field. The players can signal to one another when a head emerges, giving everyone a chance to throw all their Golden Eggs at it. Another one is for only one of the heads to appear, and when it surfaces, it’ll fire a bigger Superchum, which requires a lot more hits to pop. However, if you do, it’ll explode into your team’s ink color, killing any Salmonids in the blast radius, even the Bosses. As the battle continues, more and more heads will show up, each launching their own Superchum, thus making the stage harder to navigate.
