Splatoon Idol Duo - Fan designs

Share

Hi there everyone!

I've been pretty busy with college, and other personal things as of late. Because of that, I have been unable to focus entirely on getting drawings done, but I have been working on this little drawing project and writing for larger things, among various other things, of course.

Here's another drawing + some concept art of this duo (With some commentary and discussion on both of them):

For this second colored image of the two, I was asked to draw the two of them in a posed position, this one, as you can see, is Seggo and Blix in a back alley, with Blix having a little too much to drink and dealing with the repercussions of such a thing happening.

There three Mspaint images were created while I, and the person close to me, brainstormed the designs for these two characters. Starting with the hair, and then narrowing it down to what "hair" styles Seggo and Blix (Inkling and octoling respectively) would have, as well as, in the last image, working on their outfits and styles,

For Seggo, his style is Maximalist, but, monochrome.

For Blix, his style is Minimalist, but, Technicolor.

We chose these to be in line with other splatoon game's main idol groups, as the three of them that have been put into the series (as of writing) have themes for their design, personalities and so forth,

Here's what tools I used to make this little project:

  • Paint Tool Sai 1 + 2
  • Mspaint
