Once upon a time there wasn't a sour face you could find at the circus. The cotton candy was sweet, the lions roared, and the delight and cheers of crowds could be heard for miles. For clowns and jesters like Chessie, heaven was found in laughter. But after an accident, this lively entertainer gone one-arm-less took on a more peculiar nature to the normal audience goer.

Now these days her voice has grown quieter, her skin pale, and seldom does anyone go to see Chessie Bester the juggling jester down on cackle cove street. That is until she happens to see a man down-on-his-luck with a pocket full of Nostalgia and a love for hats that jingle jangle.

Maybe it's about time Chessie made her debut once more for an audience of one. He might even wind up being her biggest fan.
