Egypt

I scratched this into a piece of black wax overlaying gold to create this. Used a little pencil that had like a needle at the end. FUN.

Now this is pretty cool! Hadn't heard of black wax etching before either. Nice detail, though wish the resolution was bigger so you could zoom in a bit and really explore... wonder what scale this was?

Thanks! I made this in high school. It's pretty small itself, like half a sheet of paper. It was fun to make.

Wow, excellent! You've got some great style! The whole thing is a little asymmetrical for my taste, but little things that were kind of crooked, like perpendicular line over the ankh, were barely noticeable due to how intriguing the fine details were. The shadow, or whatever it was at the top right, seemed a little bit distracting though.

epic!

lol is that a lil duck at the bottom of it XD

Excellent.

I was never any good at scratching stuff like this into this kind of paper, but you excel at it. This is pretty interesting piece and before I even read the title "Egypt" I could already tell that it had some kind of relation to it. Good work and I like the amount of detail you put into it; considering it is scratching on the wax stuff.

DrSevenSeizeMD responds:

Thank you! I went through a few peices of the paper before I got this, it was tricky. :-)
