In 2018 I had a dream, about a "non-existent anime", whose action and narrative had some elements of H comedy and fan service; and it reminded me of the manga/anime made by Akahori Satoru (Saber Marionette J, Bakuretsu Hunters) or Watanabe Shinichi (Excel Saga, Puni Puni Poemi).

The protagonist was this girl called "Kimiko" (or "Kimi" for short), whose design stood out for the bow on her head that served as "rabbit ears"; in addition to her long hair tied in a ponytail and having large boobs. She was obsessed with a boy (whose name I don't remember) and she was super energetic, unstable and exaggerated, causing a lot of trouble just to be able to be with him, and having many absurd situations that over-complicated everything.

When I woke up, I wrote down the ideas in a TXT file and made a quick sketch of the girl, so I wouldn't forget.

I would like all of this to be the product of a very geeky and weeb mind, lover of all anime, but it turns out that it had its origins in a manga-anime called "Buttobi! CPU": I had read a magazine back in the 90s in which they announced the release of those OVAs and focused on the protagonist, Mimi, a super computer in a (sexy) human form, who falls in love and protects her owner, all with crazy action and elements of H and fan service. But that memory must have stayed in my unconscious until it made me dream about Kimiko. While the stories are not similar, Kimi's design is very similar to Mimi's (even the names sound similar). Can it be considered plagiarism, if it is something that was created in a mind dreaming? #JeNeSuisPasUnNik

I remembered all this when seeing a gif of Buttobi! CPU in X/Twitter, I re-read the TXT file and made this new sketch.

I liked how it turned out, I hope you do too.

Maybe one day I'll draw Kimiko's manga, even if it's a one-shot.

En 2018 tuve un sueño, sobre un "anime inexistente", cuya acción y narrativa tenía algunos elementos de comedia H y fan service; y me recordó al manga/anime hecho por Akahori Satoru (Saber Marionette J, Bakuretsu Hunters) o Watanabe Shinichi (Excel Saga, Puni Puni Poemi).

La protagonista era esta chica llamada "Kimiko" (o "Kimi" para abreviar), cuyo diseño destacaba por el moño en su cabeza que hacía las veces de "orejas de conejo"; además de su largo cabello atado en una cola de caballo y sus grandes pechos. Estaba obsesionada con un chico (cuyo nombre no recuerdo) y era súper enérgica, inestable y exagerada, causando muchos problemas solo para poder estar con él, y teniendo muchas situaciones absurdas que lo complicaban todo.

Cuando desperté, anoté las ideas en un archivo TXT e hice un boceto rápido de la chica, para no olvidarme.

Me gustaría que todo esto fuera producto de una mente muy geek y weeb, amante de todo el anime, pero resulta que tuvo su origen en un manga-anime llamado "Buttobi! CPU": había leído una revista allá por los años 90 en los que anunciaron el lanzamiento de esos OVAs, y se centraron en la protagonista, Mimi, una súper computadora con una (sexy) forma humana, que se enamora y protege a su dueño, todo con acción alocada y elementos de H y fan service. Pero ese recuerdo debió quedarse en mi inconsciente hasta que me hizo soñar con Kimiko, muchos años después. Si bien las historias no son parecidas, el diseño de Kimi es muy similar al de Mimi (incluso los nombres suenan casi igual). ¿Se puede considerar plagio, si es algo que fue creado por una mente en un estado de sueño? #JeNeSuisPasUnNik

Me acordé de todo esto al ver un gif de Buttobi! CPU en X/Twitter, releí el archivo TXT e hice este nuevo boceto.

Me gustó cómo quedó, espero que a ustedes también.

Quizás algún día dibuje el manga de Kimiko, aunque sea un one-shot.
