The fourth demon//oni//thingy I drew back in 2003.

Sherry (named like that as I thought it was the translation for the "Cherry flavoured sparkling wines" into english, as it was the name of a character from Oh Dorobou Jing manga series) had only a few expression sketches, and nothing else to work with. I drew her with antennae back then to pay some homage to my favorite DBZ character, Piccolo, but that was that.

While making the inking, I wanted to play a bit with the antennae, and I thought it would be funny to turn her into an insect-themed oni. As soon as I finished the inks, I wanted to change the antennae into snail eyes, just because...

Changed the bandana into a scarf and make her have a bomber jacket; as she is meant to have flying abilities, it's kinda funny to make her wear some kind of aviator attire.

I kinda like her now, but I think I maybe added waaaaaay to many elements on her looks, is this design a bit excessive? Too many colors maybe? I wanted to reflect the colorful designs the poisonous insects have, and those "socks" were added as her legs looks funniers that way (she has long legs that may get cold, so that's why she wears leg warmers).

La cuarta demoni//oni//bicha que dibujé en 2003.

Sherry (la llamé así porque pensé que era la traducción al inglés para la bebida espumante llamada "Fresita", y también era el nombre de un personaje en el manga Oh Dorobou Jing) sólo tuvo bocetos de expresiones, y poco más. En aquel entonces le agregué antenas para homenajear a mi personaje favorito de DBZ, Piccolo, y poco más que decir.

Mientras la entintaba, quise jugar un poco con el tema de las antenas, y me pareció gracioso que fuera una oni insectoide. Y tan pronto como terminé las tintas, le cambié las antenas por ojos tipo caracol, porqué pintó...

Cambié la bandana a una bufanda y le puse esa campera tipo aviador; ya que se supone que vuela, y me parece divertido que tenga un atuendo que refuerce esa idea.

Aunque me gusta bastante, creo que por ahí le puse demasiadas cosas, puede ser? Muy exagerada? Muchos colores también? Quise reflejar esos diseños coloridos que tienen los insectos venenosos, y le puse esas "polainas" porque así se ve más graciosa (como si las patas, por ser tan largas, se enfriaran mucho y por eso usa los calentadores de piernas).
