I don’t even wanna know how much time it took to study that one frame of the movie then pixel-the-art out of it.
My recent Mugen stage based on one of the scenes from The Super Mario Bros. Movie made in Aseprite in style of Waku Waku 7. Famicom palette is used for the training course objects. Everything else uses custom color palette.

My brother and I watched the movie yesterday and we thought it was good and funny and more faithful to the source. However for some reason maybe nostalgia purposes, first time attempts, etc. I still I liked the original live action film more. There was just something about the dark tone and the fact of it being so bad it’s good that I love. Along with the fact it was the first movie of its kind. I also like that I was only a year old when it came out.
Awesome to hear some good memories you cherished and yeah the 1993 adaption is still a cult classic along with The Wizard (movie with Nintendo product placement.)
i did it on the before Peach
THIS IS SO GREAT OMGGG
THAT'S ONE HUGE QUESTION BLOCK 👀👀👀👀👀
Just like you see in the movie tbh.
