I know the GBA port exists and it's more accurate than yours in how actually the sprites would look in low res... But screw it! Not to underestimate the designers of that one port but yours is a version I would actually play on my own beacuse it looks amazing instead of being limited (I played the gba ver almost my whole childhood because I didn't got a more powerful pc until I was 11)

EDIT: sure it was worh it, nowadays I just play the console version but I can't forget the memories I got with the port, beating it on hard no game overs (in a sitting) was truly harder and more rewarding in the console though

Have fond memories of this game too but I remember it was a bit too difficult for me. I played the NG version plenty of times, over and over, start to finish, but I'm not sure I actually completed the GC one all the way... it was a wonderful work of art though!

Wonder it might've somewhat started the Indie platformer wave it seems we've been having the last couple decades or so now.
