【𝙸 𝙰𝙼 𝙽𝙾𝚃 𝙲𝙾𝙼𝙿𝙻𝙴𝚃𝙴.】

This was an original concept I had in mind for a Haunting Ground fanart. However I drew the initial sketch (which looks different from this) during a bout of art block and I wasn't proud of it, so I more or less "put it away" and didn't touch the idea for months. My friend Fae (aka the biggest haunting ground fan in the world) really loved the idea though and really wanted me to push it further and commissioned me to do so. This end result is much better than anything I would've come up with months ago, tbh.

The story behind this piece is: I saw Daniella’s mandragora garden with all the plants and the palm trees. My “must make a joke out of everything” brain immediately went OMG SHE LIKES VAPORWAVE. After learning more about the significance of her garden and the connection between her mandragoras and her desire for motherhood, I thought it’d be a neat concept to work with because I’m Ruedefaux and I love to draw weird shit.

So my goal here was to make a significant fanart of Daniella’s character but also with vaporwave ass colours to satisfy my own humour.

But you know, the colour palette in Haunting Ground really DOES get vaporwavey from time to time despite the gothic environment, and I found that really cool and aesthetic about the game.
