Night Grove Impundulu

This was a commission for a patron who is a steamer (https://www.twitch.tv/azaizai). He asked for a painting of something majestic in a grove of trees to use as his end screen. He mentioned he enjoys African Mythology, so I suggested the Impundulu (African lighting bird). He liked that idea. I decided to make it a night time scene to accentuate the brightness of the lightning.
