Missy had acquired a position at some religious place not long ago. Specifically, an area that claimed to make vampires and dhampirs 'come closer to a normal life'. Unfortunately, one of those requirements happened to be ripping your fangs out,* or having someone do it for you. That gave false hope to so many fanged folk who are desperate, including Missy.
One seemingly delightful day, Pren showed up to Missy's home with a lovely gift; she had a copy of a movie they both liked. Noticing that Missy was standing in the bathroom with the door still open, she decided to surprise her. Sadly, it went the other way around, and not on a good note.
(* Yes, I did get inspired by a certain WW/DITS episode from a while ago.)
