No tale of Piedmont is as ubiquitous as the one about the “boy with the wrench.” As the name implies, it refers to the ghost of a blonde boy with overalls and dirty hay-like hair, dragging around a large monkey wrench. Though the name Billy Sawyer has long since been forgotten to history, within the walls of Piedmont Factory there was no name held with more reverence. He was the “Hero of Piedmont,” a relatively older boy who would intervene protect others from the nasty factory overseers, so eager to deal out punishments. He was someone the other kids looked up to. However, the madness of death has made Billy a revenant of wrath, seeing only red when it comes to adults, hunting down the intruders like animals. Nor has his name fallen in the eyes of the other ghosts, for when the ghost of Billy walks the halls, the other kids are soon to rally. But unlike most of the other ghosts in Piedmont, Billy has no taste for sadism. Though often bloody and brutal, his kills are mercifully quick.
