For a beginner you're doing really well, keep doing what you're doing and keep yourself motivated and you'll see improvement comes quite quickly! The background you've got here is simple, but appropriate, and much better than excluding a background all together like many other pieces I see seem to do. It's clear to me that you really challenged yourself with this piece, you're trying various advanced techniques which are really hard to get right, and while some areas aren't perfect, the ambition and care taken bring it to a level of which you should be proud. Overall, great work, great colors and image balance, overall, very impressive, keep it up and thanks for sharing :)
