That is really cool, and you got some great texture out of those shucks.
I also have to say your title is exactly what I thought when I saw your picture. xD
So where I come from local farmers grow corn and when I mean corn I mean aloooooot of corn (those corn chips your eating ,yeah we did that ...your welcome) and so if you know anything about corn you know that the outside of the golden goodness we all love is covered in a green outer shell known as the shuck (hence the phrase ahh shucks ) this part of the vegetable, since inedible , is usually thrown out , however as you can see I had other ideas for our corn shucks this year , I started out by drawing some very rough guidelines on a concrete slab in and then proceeded to lay out the corn shucks in a an almost mosaic style to complement the shape of the material I was using , in the end (four hours later) I was pretty happy with the result that I had and finished off the piece with a few corn cobs and ends to make the talons and the beak. hope you like and thanks to jazza for his epicly amazing contest (process vid and time lapse)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJPo76iZQPU&t=7s
