Silent Hill 2 was released 20 years ago in the EU this week, I vividly remember unwrapping it on Christmas day, not even the original game could prepare me for the deep melancholic and psychological journey upon which I was about to embark, nor for the sorry tale of Angela Orosco, she’s on a journey of her own, we cross paths several times and try to assist or comfort Angela but ultimately there is nothing James can do to help her, no monster that can be slain to bring closure to her story... because it is Angela’s own existence that terrorizes her.
