An older illustration done for a children's book concept. A red haired boy is following a fairy to it's home in the woods. Pen and ink on bristol board, scanned, and colored in photoshop. The stipling was done with a mouse before I had a tablet, ugh.
This is like a scene straight out of a story. Oh, it's made for a story! Fitting! :D The background looks dreamlike, the clouds, the fields filled with blooming dandelions, it looks ideal. Character in the foreground adds somekind of link to reality in it. It looks good!
