HE WAS THE FIRST ONE TO FALL.

Continuing on the path of modelling Sonic robots as a side hobby, I am proud to present my model of "Mecha Sonic MK.I" from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Mega Drive.

Modelling him was partly complicated from a design standpoint, since there already exists a design from SEGA based off the in-game sprites. However, it is severely lacking in many features the original design had (such as the penned homing missile fingers, and the additional reloadable spikes on the back).

As such, I largely chose to base my model off of the conceptual pieces provided by the character's original creator, Yasushi Yamaguchi (often credited under the name of Judy Totoya).

Here are some basic views of the model, and a brief comparison with the official Sonic Superstars model (which will be seen on the right whenever it shows up).
