Pico's fighting the Priest of Pride. How he got here is up to interpretation, but let's just say he's not too happy about what the penilian cult have done, especially the bullshit they're spewing.

That being said, the way the priest is kneeling reminds him of a certain someone and how she begged for him to kill her... perhaps it's a psychological tactic, or perhaps not.
