Hello. Tested som different shading on this one. Very satisfied with the bark. also its been a while since I last time wrote some lore so here have some.

LORE.

The infestation zones take on an appearance of a misty forest, from a distance would look completely like a normal one.

A coat of pale flesh like mass covers the ground and hard carapace structures that look like withered trees with vein like rivers of black oil like liquid spanning across the fleshy landscape.

The fog that is produced by the forest is cold and hinders technological equipment most notably heat sensors and long distance communications. The fog also increases in density when going deeper and its there where the resurrected creatures of the forest lurk. In the deepness much more sophisticated structures take form within the heart of the forest like pillars, pathways, arches, statues and castles all formed by the same combination of flesh, bone and bark.

The deformed creatures are referred as thralls. they no longer possess any capacity to think independently, they are commanded by much more elegant variants of the infested creatures called the gardeners whu have levitating a orb of black liquid between their horns or inside their hollowed head to signify royalty and leadership. The liquid is controlled telepathically and works as a neural highway to controll the hordes and the structures of the forest. The gardeners have individual thinking capability and are willing to engage in conversation, but the end results are rarely favorable because to be able to meet them you must be deep inside the forest and they will refuse to let you go. They wish to save you from death and to spend your eternal life in their forest forever.
