Brittany is Jasper's friend who convinces her neighbors that they should sign a contract to become a child actor for a children’s show with her friends in order to get out of the housing projects in the New Orleans. She has a younger brother named Ervin.

• Brittany is also made to be a positive representation of women who has the ethnicity of a African ancestry.
• She was originally going to be named Mindy and to be 9 years old, but it was changed being 12 to 13 because I thought it would make more sense when it came to representing African American girls.
