I recently bought a book called The Filmmaker's Eye by Gustavo Mercado. At first I thought it was just a book for filmmakers, but later I found out it was also about illustration.

In this scene, I set the horizontal line higher than the protagonist to show the girl's small size, and used the combination of "Rule of Thirds" and "Alfred Hitchcock's Rule" to show the size of the wall.
