How do you get around repeating enemies in a game with animal characters?


Make them nondescript and have skulls for heads I guess...

They're all done in Blender.

A trick I saw for getting lots of variation for the little fodder grunt enemies is to have several different outfit colours, and a few different heads or distinct features. That way, when the outfits and heads are mixed and matched, you have over 30+ different combinations. Way more bang for your buck while still trying to keep things minimal to a single enemy type. :)

man this is spot on for the style, I could easily see hordes of these things running at me in a dungeon
