A bit of an experimental piece, but I'm very happy with how it turned out.

And here's a little dialogue between Miko and Mira to go with it, as a bonus:

"It's amazing, isn't it?"

"What is?"

"How, right now, everyone in this part of the world, no matter who they are, can look up at the sky and see the same beautiful stars."

"Yeah... they are really pretty, now that you mention it."

"Even though things are hectic right now, I still do find a lot of peace in that thought... You know what else is amazing, though?"

"What's that?"

"You."

"...Me?"

"Yeah. Your brimming positivity, your determination to push forward towards your goals... your willingness to stick with me, despite all my issues. I just... I've just never met anyone else like you, you know."

"I, um... wow... I mean, I don't know what to say."

"And more than that, the fact that you manage all that even in the face of the insurmountable odds we're up against. I... honestly wish I could be more like you."

"Nah, don't say that. I like you the way you are."

"...Huh?"

"Like yeah, I know you're not great at showing your feelings, but you know... I can still tell how much you care about me, and even everyone else we've met. You might have weird ways of showing it, but it's there. Even if you don't see it yourself. I think that makes you just as amazing as you think I am."

"You... you really think so?"

"Of course I do. It's the truth, silly."

"I'll... I'll try to remember that, then. I still think you're more amazing though."

"Aw, come on, don't be like that!"

"I'm serious. I mean, it's right in your name. 'Mira'. It means 'amazing', right?"

"Oh my god, you nerd! Hahaha!"
