Very nice!

I like this painting.the highlights on the claws are good,and the expression suits the character wearing that costume.the only thing i'd really say,is the fact that the pose is not the best.but thats fair enough,because the character looks like its slouching.it could have just had a more interesting pose.(but hey,poses are something i need to work on anyways.)

I remembered this funny image from the Art Forum...
I found the topic very interesting and I found a pity nobody seemed to contribute. Maybe one day I'll bump it myself...
Another thing that I liked very much about this picture is the color blending. It shows appreciation for the subject you're painting. Without you saying it, people could say it's your girlfriend...

Don't skip out on important details...

I find myself sometimes not taking my own advice on skipping out on important details...having spent much time on a piece sometimes makes you a tad lazy on certain things about it...

getting to the point, you spent some time shading the body and doing the color tones...yet the ground shadow which should have just as much attention seemed rushed. It should somewhat emulate the mass above it, yet it's a messy monochromatic blob totally taking away from the overall composition of the piece.
