Doom Faces

Remember the end-stage screen from Doom? I drew my own version of it for another user's flash, which never happened. I like how it turned out, though, so I kept it.

It was too small to be a header, and too big to be a profile image, and too all-over-the-place to be a sig. When I first heard about the Art Portal being released, I knew I had to submit this here.

Drawn in Photoshop.

EDIT! Yes, I totally used this and stretched it out in "Repercussions of Evil" :D

Nice work

You DO have valid points, and, while, yes, I agree with you, the eyes did NOT glow in DOOM 2, and the artist needed to create a replica, so no glowing eyes. Sorry!

So here was a cool and dark piece you have here, I like the faces this reminds me something out of a dark and scary movie I could see you adding some red glowing eyes on this piece to give it that even more scarier feel, but anyways really good texture and the faces came off well.

Phobotech responds:

I think red glowing eyes can be cliche sometimes.

This is actually from the end screen of the first Doom PC game, and you can compare and contrast to what I paid homage to and what I added to it. For the most part, I was trying to keep it close to the original piece this is based off of...so that's why there ain't LED's lodged into their eyeballs.

Thanks for the thorough review!

I did what you said and reviewed your art instead. Happy? I have to be honest though, this is awesome as fuck. 5 stars for you

Phobotech responds:

Thank you! I'm glad you like this.

Yay boobs! xD
