So, I decided that I'm gonna start planning out a story, which is heavily inspired by Area 88 (an old 1980's OVA, Manga, and 2004 Anime). Basically, the main character is a fighter pilot, trained and genetically/cyberneticaly augmented from a young age to become the perfect weapon. He is sent to the fictional country of Thylresia during a major civil war with another fictional country, Torrakia. The character serves in the 332nd Royal Thylresian Squadron of Foreign/Contracted Pilots. The fighter pictured above is his first aircraft, which was a heavily modified Hawker RF-29C designed for Close-Quarters dogfighting, as well as BVR (beyond-visual-range) combat. The fighter itself is armed with twin GAU-37 "shredder" 20mm rotary cannons, and has four internal weapon bays. The outward-angled bays can hold two AIM-9 Sidewinder equivalents, while the bottom two are capable of holding the larger types of Air-to-Air or Air-to-Ground weapons.
