The beast who lived...
On the outskirts of small twon, overlooked by a mighty castle, lived a group of men. Hunters they were. They hunted everything they could sell or eat. The animals they hunted would be used for food or selling their fur, but the monsters...they were a sign of courage and valor towards the townsfolk.
But these hunters made a mistake. In one of their hunts, they took down a grimataur and hastly departed the scene with their bounty. But unknown to them that grimataur that they took down, had an offspring. That same offspring now roams the land seeking those who took his family, syphoning their souls and keeping them trapped for eternity.
