Shirley (story in desc.)

Share

Had a dream with sleep paralysis so yardy know I had to recreate this :+)

In the dream I was hardly able to see anything but god. I literally could not wake up for what felt like hours (was prolly just minutes irl but still, shit was scary lol)

Ok so let's get into the synopsis 😳

For some reason a name I kept seeing was "Shirley" in cartoony baby block letters?? (god I've been watching too many creepy 30s cartoons lately) and I was in a nursery-type room, but the hallway outside the room was the only space that had lights on. The rest of the rooms in that tiny schoolhouse I was in was pitch black. Even the double doors leading to outside showed total darkness.

It was so surreal and weird. There was a projection screen in the nursery with a VHS tape on the floor labeled "your dreams". I remember hearing a voice that kept saying, "Don't put the tape in."

I did anyway bc I was like "Hah intrusive thoughts go brr" and then I got trapped in there. Then the voice said, "look what you've done. Now you can't wake up."

I was trying to open the door to get out but the voice said, "If you open the door he'll get you" and I HEARD KNOCKING FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR so I was like :) oh fuck. So then I kept pushing myself against the door to keep it closed so the Shadow Man couldn't come in bc none of the doors in the schoolhouse locked (bc y'know, it's for little kids and there are no locks on kid stuff)

Then other weird shit happened (that I'll probably draw later on) and I was finally able to wake up. I've never felt more relieved to find out something was just a dream lol
