Akana the Hellish Blade

Once Akana was a wife of a shogun, she lived happily with the love of her life and their twin children... Then the Black Talon Assassin's came. Hired by a rival samurai, the assassin's came with the intention of killing Akana's husband. The shogun gave himself up to protect his family thinking the Black Talon's would leave them alone, but unfortunately they were a group of assassin's who left no survivors. Akana saw her husband beheaded and her children sliced before her very eyes when they tried to save her. A Black Talon marched up to her blade at the ready, time seemed to slow down... Suddenly Akana was surrounded by fire. In front of her in the inferno were two eyes that seemed to be swirly pools of darkness, from them came a hollow voice:

"They want your life. But so do I. Give me your life. You can avenge your family. You can make them pay. Hand me your soul"

Akana knew this being was a demon, but in the end the rising wrath within her blinded her...

The assassin balked as he saw Akana's eyes filled with a new horrifying rage and suddenly the unarmed woman was armed.

In less than a minute every Black Talon was little more than thinly sliced flesh scattered across the shogun's mansion. A few days later a prosperous samurai met a sudden untimely end at the hands of an unknown assassin... All that was known as the assassin was female, wore a long red kimono, had a hanya mask on her face, and wielded a long pale katana the glowed with a sinister energy. This assailant became known as the "Red Lady" and it is said to never wander the road alone or she may find you and cut you to pieces. Indeed, the demon gave Akana her vengeance but at a terrible price: her sanity was drained, her body no longer her own, and all the kindness and benevolence that was in her was replaced with sheer unending fury.
