This art is about Satan tempting Christ with the kingdoms of the world. They are on a high mountain and Satan shows him the kingdoms of the world and offers them to Christ in exchange for worship. Satan wanted to be restored back into the hierarchy of angels. Before Satan "fell from heaven like lightning" he was known as Lucifer and was the most beautiful angel. Christ did not make this deal with the Devil as he had another plan.
