Why Gardevoir Instead Of Gallade?

Here is a small comic I made quite a while ago. It introduced the male Gardevoir Pokemon trainer Bennet has, who turned down evolving into a Gallade.
Bennet's head looks kinda weird to me, I was still practicing with the head shape.
Head shapes are always awkward. Especially for humans. >.<
