The Mifune Clan has existed in the lands outside of Kaisian City for centuries. Their family was seen as the defenders of the outlands with this mission flowing through the family tree to Musashi Mifune. Musashi only had one daughter who he trained in swordsmanship and the three core elements Fire, Ice, and Lightning. Though, one night there was a violent raid on the temple of the Mifune Clan during a horrible storm. All but Keiko was murdered, Keiko only survived when her father sent her away to a neighboring town. Finding evidence that the raid was conducted by the Knights of Kaisian, Keiko promised to defend the outlands as a member of the Mifune clan, but instead of waiting for the knights to comeback, she would rake the fight to Kaisian City.
