Color of loss- Jazza's montly art contest entry

Losing someone you love leaves you numb, cold and helpless. With that in mind, I've created a primarily monochromatic, de-saturated image where both the hero and his lost love can be seen experiencing a pain only known to those who have lost loved ones. In addition, the only thing in the image in high saturation and color are their their hearts- yearning in the face of loss.
I hope you enjoy my take on Jazzas piece- I certainly enjoyed coloring it in.
