Playing around with some inking

Share

I've been trying out a bunch of different ways to draw stuff lately, so I went with some monotone inking this time, it's quite a good way to develop some appealing lines and shapes, but boy oh boy do I miss my brushes when I do this sort of stuff lol

I will say that I really like the way you inked the leather there, I have a hard time doing that myself in one of my drawings, and for the rest it's really good.

Nickky-Anulbis responds:

Thanks buddy!
As for the inking, I used a standard hard brush to set the overall shapes, and then I smoothed the transitions with some hatching brushes that come standard with Clip Studio Paint, they're called Gauze and Gauze Cloud
Also, the thing about leather is that the lit areas tend have some smoothness while the dark areas go straight to black real quick, it's a weird texture, very reflective
Hope I could help ya :)
