This was a part of a digital illustration module I did in college at the start of the college year just gone. We were asked to do 2 illustrations of a famous person, along with a fictional pet that we portrayed the personality of the famous person. Both illustrations had to be done in the same style.

For the second one, I decided to do John Wayne and a Bear. The reason, quite simply, both have ' wild ' personalities and are very moody.

I retained the same and edgy style but unlike my other image, the roles are reversed here. The bear takes up most of the picture and John Wayne appearing inside the tag that is on the bear's neck.

To be honest, I did these 2 images in a hurry to meet a deadline. ( Laziness would do that to you! ) However, the lecturer and other people ended up liking the style I had used for both illustrations.

It also worth noting that this style would later inform the style I would use for a Narrative Illustration project.
