Currently playing Hollow knight for the first time and I just fought my new favorite little lad. I've decided to make my own character based off him and call him Spike. In the first picture, Jack (Right) and Navillow (Left) attempt to cure Spike of his infection. The second picture is a flat frame of Spike, sad the infection killed him and fused his body in these crystals, making him an undead bug.

Here's my head cannon about Spike.

Spike was a miner, making his riches in the crystal caverns with his sister Margret before the infection struck. As the infection spread across the land, Spike became one of its victims, succumbing to the disease deep in the mines. He awakes to find himself, or parts of himself entombed with the crystals he used to mine. With the infection draining Spike's willpower and life force, he lurks deep in the mines, until, tasked by a now elder-aged Margret, Nav and Jack find him. Wanting to try out the newly developed antibodies Margert gave them, the duo lay Spike unconscious and successfully attempted to cure him. Grateful for their help, Spike uses his crystalized powers to assist in the duo's adventures through the Hallownest.
