First of all, I'd like to thank everyone supporting this project, whether you're a longtime patron, an Indiegogo backer, a QA tester, a Discord member, or a casually interested watcher. It's been really awesome having people looking forward to the things I want to share with all of you, and without you the project wouldn't even be possible.

Speaking of Ultimate Pump, the game has been slowly forming. I'm proud of the various demos that we've put out, and even though I wish it could be faster (more on that later) we ARE making progress. The dialogue system is mostly functional, needing only UI tweaks, and in a character-driven game, that's very important. The writing process has been honed, and the locations are implemented, save for a few scaling and color tweaks here and there. The NPCs have all been prepped, which means they are ready to be drawn, written, and placed into the game. No easy task, but certainly one that is easier (for me) than software development. I've learned a lot during this process and I've decided that while game-wise I'm more convinced than ever we're on the right track, I believe presentation-wise there need to be some big changes.

So that leads me to the big changes moving forward. BIG changes. The first thing that some of you may have noticed is that there will be a name change. "Crestpeak Bay" takes the focus out of the gym and into the larger world of the game. It evokes more of the general mood and feel of the gameworld. Along with it comes a shift in the player base that I want to target. Instead of being a fetish-based game, I want it to be a fitness-based game. Instead of being rated "R" I want it to be "PG-13." This may disappoint some of you who were hoping for a certain type of content, but I think that kind of content can be found elsewhere. Instead, I'm looking to draw in a larger audience with this rebrand. I'm not going to try and erase the past, but I do want to start a new chapter, so all of the social media and community channels are being rebooted (links below). Be on your best behavior. This won't be about nude wrestling videos. I want to be able to include a larger audience.

Part of the reason for this change is because I am hamstrung a lot of the time in trying to share this project by the NSFW undertones even when the content itself is fairly innocent. This rebrand will scoot everything on one side of the line instead of straddling it, freeing me to really push this into a more public space. One of the biggest issues with this game thus far has been very subpar funding. Part of it is me not really pushing it as much, which I will be doing more now, but part of it is also the limited reach a niche fetish game has. I want to make a game that I can one day show to my kids. A game that all of you feel comfortable sharing with your friends. I want to bridge the gap and aim for an audience as ambitiously as I am aiming the quality of the game, because I believe it is important that the quality of game you make and the quality of audience you draw should be congruent. Fetishizing the content felt like it was damaging my chances of doing so.

What I want moving forward is a community of players that has no barriers of entry, no sthenolagnic prerequisite. The public's perception of a fit lifestyle is more accepting than ever. I'm hoping to tap into this so that I can achieve my vision without compromising quality or taking forever to reach a finishing point. I think I can do this while still providing my current fans a product that they can still appreciate. I know now everyone will be happy about these changes, but I think ultimately it is what this game needs.
