The poisonous flower Saria

Share

This is an attempt at a redesign for an undead version of Saria. It's also supposed to be a Dark Sousl reference/allusion. The bosses of Dark Souls have (mostly) quite tragic backgrounds.

This undead version is a corrupted version of Saria, which von Gannendorf's henchmen have defeated and corrupted. The dark power of the Grandmaster of Evil turns him into an undead and causes poisonous creatures to degenerate. Her consciousness is only a shadow of herself and she cannot resist direct orders.

When Link has weakened her to a certain point, the second phase occurs in which she concentrates her poisons.

So you could think about it in a way that fits the story.

here is the old design:

the abilities:

It is quite fast for its size and causes various types of poison damage. If you get too close to it there is a risk of inhaling the pollen.

Your weapon does just as much poison damage as anything else and on top of that, equipment can break if contact is prolonged (the poison is also corrosive)

With her special attack, she throws you off balance and tries to grab you. If she manages to do that, she releases someone, a very special means, that makes the affected people go away (can mean immediate death) and thus becomes their slaves.

To create this version of the undead plant lady, I used the idea of the thought flower. The thought flower produces a means that releases a will.

This would have served as a very interesting adversary to battle inside the forest temple within the "Ocarina of Time" game. I could see her being in "Twilight Princess". Also, her tongue is the most unsettling part of her.

Monster8maker responds:

Twilight Princess wasn't on my radar at the moment. But it would fit, you're right

its true tree

amazing
