[2012] "Somebody Call a Lock-Smith"
(10/28/30) - 9 and 1/2 hours

Arlan's in a bit of trouble here...

I just wanted to draw something involving being underwater, and this was the result. I only ever had time to work on it at night between 11pm and 4am last semester, so it was a late-night project. :) Most of the time went to drawing and coloring the chains. O__O Aughh!

I used Photoshop CS5 and a Intuos5 drawing tablet and pen.

Thanks for looking!

This is great! The mood is set perfectly, and the colors work well with each other! I can't wait to see more art from you!

Hello, urbfilms! Thank you kindly for the review. I had to experiment a lot with blending different color layers to set up the ocean environment. I only just discovered you can download Photoshop brushes, which is sure to help me do better in the future!

These are characters from a project I'm developing, so hopefully I'll be able to upload more as things progress. Have a good day!

Wow this is very cool! You should totally submit more art to newgrounds, I'd love to see what else you come up with. I've added you to my favorites so I can see when you upload new artwork. The composition of the image and how the characters are interacting looks great, and the abundance of chains add a lot of interest to the piece. Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for the review, Jazza! :) I really learned a lot from your Flash Tutorials on YT.

Drawing and coloring the chains took HOURS, haha. I lack practice with background and environment elements, so I'm trying to put more effort into them so I can learn. Thanks again!
