Original creature: Spoofy PG.2

Share

Made some "quick" drawings of this little original creature and also wrote some more about them.

As the basic and youngest version of the ghostoons, spoofies are almost weightless but not incorporeal. They can learn to pass through walls and objects, but it still takes them some concentration; this means they can even fall in the traps of the very dungeon they live in, for example.

Since they're of bright colors, it's very rare that a spoofy learns how to become transparent or even invisible. They instead rely on hiding in objects to go unnoticed and "ambush" unaware targets.

In case I decide to design more and more original creatures, I also decided to categorize such creatures by giving them up to 2 Types (they just define the skills and techniques they can learn) and an Alignment, which defines their main way to act and the affinity with other creatures.

Spoofy is a Dream and Spirit type creature with affinity to Chaos (there're no good or evil, for now).

May explain this system I created when I'll have time, after the other work I have to do.

So, when you said that there's no good or evil, do you mean that they're wild creatures in a sense?

MekerevToonArt responds:

Good and Evil tend to be subjective terms that mostly depend on the point of view.
Snapping half of sentient beings out of existence may seem a very evil thing, but is it actually if such beings are already living in misery without help and such act is the only way to teach population control and resources management (thing that, unlike doubling the resources, you can also do without some almighty gems of infinite power)?

Instead, I subdivided the Alignment system into Chaos, Order, Creation and Destruction, which should be kinda more objective concepts. You can presume that creatures affine to Order or Creation are closer to good and those affine to Chaos or Destruction are closer to evil, but it's not a rule and it shouldn't be.

Cute ghosties :>
