I think Gen 3 did a great job at showing you places in the game that you cant reach yet and making you want to go back to routes you don't really have much of a reason to go to ! What's your favorite off the path place in Pokemon??
Never really played Pokemon so I can't say what my favorite off the path place was.

this is pretty close to how i would have imagined surfing in emerald as a kid
