You didnt train for this? ft. Aerith & Tifa

Share

Hello everyone! it has been quite a while hasn't it? Changes in life has kind of split and slowed my progress with art (like trying to work on two works at the same time) but after scrapping that thought and getting my mind back to where it should be, i was able to get back into the swing of things. I was playing through final fantasy 7 remake and was loving it through and through, but one thing that stood out more so now than in the original, was how awkward Cloud was around the two female leads. Also, i liked how when Tifa would take a lot of damage, she would be upset with herself and say "I trained for this!". It just made me think that Cloud went through life learning how to fight, but not how to deal with people he actually likes. At first this was going to be a picture of just Tifa, but then i realized i never drew Aerith, and decided to throw her in as well. Oddly enough, i couldnt find any good references of Clouds room, so i had to boot up the game and go to the chapter select to go back to his room in game and take screenshots. lol i havent worked so hard on accuracy in a background in a long while, but i wanted to make sure i got plenty of details about his room. I also had the thought that the shading on my characters might have been really dark lately, and decided to slightly lighten up to see if i liked it. All in all, I think it turned out very well. I hope you all enjoy this as much as i enjoyed working on it, and Ill see ya next time. Till then, take care and be safe!
