Here's my submission for Jazza's challenge of the month, Robomance.

My illustration represents a young mechanic robot constructor who just finished her master piece. The spark of life comes with the last part of the robot being connected to the body. Which creates at the same time a deep (romantic) connection between the young creator and his creation.
