Very cool and detailed, and really good for your second attempt, though he might still look a bit weird. I would love to see the first one, it sounds amazing, but, of course, it is a family member, so I doubt he would agree.

This is an etching of my grandfather, based on a photo that was taken recently. It was my first time using scratchboard and etching techniques so I think it came out rather well, especially since attempt number one made my grandfather look somewhat manic, so it isn't bad for my second try.

Thanks, yeah he does look a little odd but that may be because he didn't have his teeth in at the time and since he is half blind and his good eye can't see very well either he was only looking in the general vicinity of the camera, he is 91 after all. Afraid I can't show the first one, I created both on the same piece of scratch board, when I had the board cut and framed the other piece was lost.
