The Alencia Planetary Military Force has two branches structured into it, the Expeditionary Marine Corps(EMC) and the Galactic Naval Corps (GNC). Both forces rely heavily on each other, but are each separate branches in their own right and not heavily reliant on one another, there is mutual cooperation between the two branches to keep their home planet of Alencia safe. While there have been past historical incidents of fighting between the two branches, these have always traditionally been friendly rivalries and nothing more than that.

The Expeditionary Marine Corps were founded at a time when there were almost daily system raids that had to be defended against and this pushed the loosely trained and organized planetary militia almost to its breaking point, when the raids finally slowed down and almost stopped altogether, the Alencia-II planetary military forces were established and thus afterwards the Expeditionary Marine Corps were established and trained themselves to become the best of the best in the system. They are trained to be able to quickly, effectively and strategically, strike at enemy raiding parties and quickly take control of, evaluate, arrest and if necessary eliminate the threat to the planet and the system itself. These marines are extremely loyal to the planetary government, not fanatical mind you, but enough to be able to do their jobs to the best of their abilities and serve the planet and the system well.

The 418th Galactic Expeditionary Corps is one of the major divisions of the Expeditionary Marine Corps, the marines of this division have a long and storied history with pirate and system raiders. Nicknamed the "Flaming Skull Fighters" by divisional marines and marine command alike, these marines are considered an elite fighting force, they are not however a special forces division, there is a specific division just for that purpose.
